A Burnley firm of chartered surveyors has been shortlisted for a prize in the forthcoming Red Rose Awards.

Trevor Dawson Chartered Surveyors, which this year also celebrates its 25th anniversary, has been shortlisted in the category of “Property Business of the Year”.

Since its formation in 1989, initially based only in Blackburn, the company has built a strong reputation in commercial property transactions and advice.

Expansion through two further offices, at the Network 65 Business Park in Burnley in 1994 and Bolton in 2012, has given it regional coverage.

Core activities are the identification and delivery of development opportunities, buying, selling and acquisition on behalf of clients and professional services including valuation, landlord and tenant, rating and management.

Commercial property has been severely challenged over the past five years with the halting of many development projects down the M65/M61/M6 corridor, but Trevor Dawson has held its position through diversification, innovation and a solid understanding of the market and their clients.

Ongoing projects include the eminent Burnley Bridge Business Park and Junction 7 Business Park at Clayton–le-Moors.

Senior partner Caroline James said: “We deliver realistic advice proven through experience in commercial property, upon which companies and individuals can make sound business decisions. We look forward to the next 25 years.”

The Red Rose Awards will be held at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens next Thursday.

Now in its fourth year, the awards celebrate businesses across Lancashire.

The entrants are judged by panels of independent business experts and sponsors.
