A burst water main outside Turf Moor has lowered the water pressure on taps in homes near to the stadium in Burnley.

The 12in. water main burst this afternoon on Harry Potts Way, but a spokesman for United Utilities said that no properties were without water as a result.

A team of engineers is currently en-route to fix the problem.

The United Utilities spokesman said: "We have had a number of calls from residents to say their pressure has lowered. We are bringing water through other pipes to ensure that all properties are on supply.

"An emergency crew is on its way and will examine the cause of the burst."
