Burnley’s Royal visit: weather forecast
TODAY’S the day that the Queen, Prince Philip and Prince Charles visit Burnley as part of Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee tour of the nation.
They will be arriving by train at Manchester Road station at 10-35 a.m., before enjoying a short trip along the Leeds and Liverpool Canal, visiting the Weavers’ Triangle, driving through the town centre to Burnley College for a visit and then on to Burnley Football Club.
Despite a sunny but chilly start, there is a threat of showers forecast throughout the day, with temperatures to reach a maximum of 13 degrees.
