“Our staff care for their patients 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days of the year, with a team member on site at all times,” she added.

The voluntary RCVS Practice Standards scheme aims to promote and maintain the highest levels of veterinary care, with only 57% of the UK’s practices receiving the distinguished accreditation.

To meet the exacting standards, practices must volunteer to under go a rigorous assessment process every four years, with random spot-checks in between.

Everything from the anaesthesia, the client experience , dentistry, infection control, out-of-hours provision, surgery, the facilities, and the overall service provided are assessed, with Oakmount passing with flying colours.
