Burnley television actress Alice Barry will once again tread the boards when she takes the leading role in a saucy adult pantomime.
The star of cult show “Shameless” is to play the title character “Aladdin” at Blackpool’s Stillies Showbar at the end of the month.
And the actress will also be back in her home town when she hosts “An Evening with Alice Barry” at Towneley Hall on March 31st.
Alice said: “I’ve a lot to look forward to in the coming weeks. I’ve done lots of shows on stage before so it will be good fun doing the panto.
“It’s an adult version and a bit saucy so it won’t be suitable for children.”
Another show definitely not suitable for children that Alice has been working on is a DVD for stand-up comic Roy “Chubby” Brown.
Alice played the comic’s wife in the DVD version of his live “Hangs up the Helmet” show.
Alice added: “I was a surprise guest on Chubby Brown’s show and played his raunchy wife.
“The Towneley Hall evening will be a much cleaner affair. I hope to see lots of Burnley folk there.”
