Miles Baron, the chief executive of the Bingo Association, officially presented the minibus to Karen Alty, the headteacher of Holly Grove School, on Tuesday.

The company funded the vehicle, known as the Variety Sunshine Coach, in support of children’s charity Variety. It seats 13 people and is wheelchair-friendly.

Mrs Alty said: “We are overwhelmed at the generosity of Variety and the Bingo Association. They have made our dream of a new coach a reality.

“The pupils are thrilled with our new minibus.”
