A NASTY rush hour crash caused traffic chaos in Burnley town centre this morning.
Firefighters, ambulance crew and the police all raced to Westgate, Burnley, after a collision between a Ford Focus and a Kia Picanto.
The roof of the Ford Focus had to be cut off in order to free the woman driver who was treated on the scene for neck injuries. Nobody in the Kia was seriously injured.
The accident happened just after 8am. Cars were backed up at both ends of Westagte with police only allowing one lane of traffic through while an investigation was carried out.
Both lanes were re-opened at around 9-15am.
