Burnley head injury death baby named

A FOUR-MONTH-OLD baby boy from Burnley who died early on Tuesday morning has been named.

Kian Edward McMillan received serious head injuries at his home in Scarlett Street and died later in hospital.

An inquest into the death of Kian is expected to open tomorrow at the office of the East Lancashire coroner.

A 24-year-old woman from Burnley and a 40-year-old man from Brighouse, West Yorkshire, have been arrested on suspicion of child neglect and have been released on bail.

A police investigation is on-going into the death which is currently being treated as “unexplained”.
