The 2016 Global Excellence Awards are designed to recognise the very best in the business, whether they are a single office firm or an international conglomerate. They award those who are succeeding in their endeavours - innovating, growing, and improving.

The awards are conducted based on a combination of qualitative and quantitative research techniques, whereby they triangulate the number of votes received with in-house and external research.

This approach ensures that the awards are allocated based on merit and allows firms of all sizes and in all locations who have done extraordinary work over the past year to be recognised.

Saira Hussain said: "Building things is still very much a man's world in particular in the construction industry, unlike medicine or law, where it's been fully balanced over the last decade.

"The construction industry remains over 95% male; being a young female-led practice we’ve had to work exceptionally hard to be accepted in the field. Winning awards such had this one gives us confidence and reminds us there are people out there that appreciate all the hard work we put in."

Practice manager, Nixie Edwards, also said: “I am deeply honoured to receive this prestigious award from an International Magazine. It means that the hard work we do really pays off, and also encourages us to continue.

"We’re really proud to be part of this industry, and love to find architectural solutions to the challenges that our clients may face."
