Burnley double death crash: driver to appear in court

POLICE have charged an 18-year-old man in connection with a crash in Burnley which killed two teenagers.

Zaid Ali, of Richmond Hill Street, Accrington has been charged with two counts of causing death by dangerous driving.

Kaiser Hussain (16) and Sajid Khan (19), who were from Accrington, died after the red BMW saloon they were travelling in collided with a wall and two parked cars in Marsden Road around 9 p.m. on Thursday.

A third passenger, a 20-year-old man from Accrington, received minor injuries and has since been released from hospital.

Ali has been remanded to appear at Preston Magistrates’ Court this morning.
