Foundation degree in sports coaching and performance student Ashley Alderson achieved the highest grade of all the sport students studying at one of UCLan’s partner colleges.

Mr Peter Mounsey, head of higher education at Burnley College, said: “We are delighted with the outstanding results our students have once again achieved this year and that these results will now enable so many of them to achieve their professional aspirations.

“A number of students who achieved a degree qualification have progressed from advanced level courses at the college through to full degree programmes with us and we have enjoyed watching their confidence and skills grow.

“We now wish them luck with their careers or further study.”
