Burnley car smash driver flees scene

THE driver of a car which crashed into a tree off Barden Lane on Monday evening fled the scene.

The accident happened around 7-30pm when a black Honda lost control and careered off the road. When police arrived the driver had already left the scene.

It is not known whether the car was stolen, and Burnley Police are currently making inquiries with the registered keeper.
