Don’t forget the Towneley Park firework spectacular on Bonfire Night is ticket only.
Tickets, priced at £3 for individual tickets for £9 for a group of four people on November 5th, are available from all Burnley Leisure sites, including St Peter’s and Padiham leisure centres and the Mechanics Theatre. They are also on sale at Towneley Hall (cash only).
Parking passes for Riverside and Woodgrove car parks cost £5 per vehicle.
This is a ticket only event and tickets must be bought before 5pm on November 5th – no tickets will be on sale after this time.
The funfair will open at 6-15pm. Junior fireworks are scheduled to start at 7-15pm and the main firework display will kick off at 8-15pm.
For safety reasons, organisers have requested that no sparklers or fireworks are brought into the event, they have also confirmed that alcohol, glass bottles and pets are not allowed on the site.
The community bonfire and fireworks display is being organised by Burnley Council with support from Burnley Leisure, 2BR, Urbaser and Balmers.
For those people and organisations holding bonfires across the borough in the run up to and on Bonfire night, the council and other organisations in the Community Safety Partnership have launched a registration scheme.
The registration scheme has been running for several years and has been successful in cutting the number of call-outs by the fire service to “nuisance” fires during its busiest time of the year.
Anyone organising a bonfire is urged to register their event by 5pm on Saturday, 31st October via www.burnley.gov.uk/bonfire. In return they will get professional support to help make sure the event goes safely and no-one is injured.
