An inquest into the death of a four-month-old baby from Burnley has been adjourned after the cause of her death could not be found.
Kellsie Maria Bailey was taken to the Royal Blackburn Hospital on February 28th when her mother Kelly Bailey found her unresponsive around 5am at their home in Ford Street.
East Lancashire Coroner Mr Richard Taylor heard the baby had been wrapped in a blanket and placed in a Moses basket. She had woken at 3am for a feed but was found to be unresponsive at 5am.
Home Office pathologists Dr Naomi Carter and Dr Gauri Batra conducted a post-mortem examination but could not find a cause of death. The inquest has been adjourned.
