Brave Nelson girl Shaylee (5) loses brain cancer battle
A BRAVE Nelson girl who touched the hearts of all those she came into contact with has lost her battle with brain cancer.
Shaylee Houghton (five), of Thursby Road, died in hospital on Thursday afternoon.
The Holy Saviour RC Primary School pupil had been diagnosed with grade four glioblastoma multiform at the end of August and local people have held a series of fund-raising events in the past four months in support of Shaylee.
