Boya wins trip-of-a-lifetime in market comp

Boya Lou, from York, was picked at random from hundreds of entries to win the prize to a destination of her choosing.

She filled in an entry form at Joy’s Thai Takeaway on the market.

When told she had won Boya thought it was her friends playing a joke on her at first, but was delighted to scoop the prize.

Boya said she loves to travel and will probably choose Canada as the next destination on her list.

Burnley Market manager Marie Shaw, who ran the competition in association with Brun Lea Travel, said: “You can experience a world of food here at Burnley Market which Boya did when she came and sampled the Thai Food. Our food offer attracts people from all over and we’re delighted that Boya entered the competition while she was here. Congratulations and well done to her.”
