Boy (12) found hanged in bedroom of Burnley home
A 12-YEAR-OLD boy has been found hanging in the bedroom of his home in Burnley yesterday.
The ambulance service and police were called to an address in Burnley just after 5-20 p.m. but the boy, who has been named as Michael Raven, was pronounced dead at the Royal Blackburn Hospital a short time later.
The cause of this sudden death has not yet been confirmed but it is not being treated as suspicious. The Coroner has been informed and a post mortem examination will take place later this week.
Michael attended St Wilfrid’s CE Academy, Blackburn. Police Family Liaison Officers remain with the family who are said to be “understandably distraught”.
