Bodybuilders celebrate love with pies hamper win

Two love-struck Burnley bodybuilders have revealed the key to their relationship is tucking into a tasty pie together.

To show the strength of his love, Warburtons delivery driver Martyn Brothers decided to nominate his wife and IBFA female British bodybuilding champion, Catherine Hosker-Brothers, for a Valentine’s competition, run by Clayton Park Bakery.

And to 33-year-old receptionist Catherine’s delight, she won “his and hers” hampers packed with savouries and cupcakes.

The Burnley couple said they would be enjoying their treat a day early during their weekly “cheat” day.

Catherine boasts an impressive array of accolades for ladies figure bodybuilding under her belt, including Miss North West and Miss UK titles.

The couple train five times a week doing both cardio and weights based activities, and follow a strict healthy eating regime.

But every Saturday they allow themselves some time off to enjoy their favourite foods.

Martyn said: “I was thrilled to win the competition, I’ve not really won anything before so was shocked when I found out.

“I love my wife to bits, we enjoy the same foods and music, and just bounce off each other.”
