Blessed Trinity Roman Catholic budding historians have researched life in the trenches during the First World War and made an impressive visitor guide.
They were set the task by Towneley Hall’s senior curator Mike Townend who challenged the Year Nine pupils to create a booklet that would be fit for purpose in the Imperial War Museum.
Their design specification was to independently research life for the soldiers in the trenches of the First World War. "It had to be informative but suitable for use as a guide for visitors to the museum," said Mike. "I was astounded by the quality of the work."
The winners, announced in assembly, were Aimee Stott, Emma Taylor, and Lauren Rowe, with Aimee saying: “It was fascinating to discover what life in the trenches was like for young men not much older than ourselves."
