Beatrix Potter day planned for historic hall
The activities include a trail to find bunnies hidden around the museum and storytelling. A Beatrix Potter quilt, loaned from the Gawthorpe Textiles Collection, will be on display.
County Coun. Marcus Johnstone, Lancashire County Council’s cabinet member for environment, planning and cultural services, said: “Beatrix is one of the world’s best-loved children’s authors, who has captured our imagination for over 100 years with her beautifully illustrated tales. Beatrix was also an artist, botanist, environmentalist, farmer and businesswoman.”
