Be barking mad and sign up to '˜Paws in the Park'

Dig out your wellies and get ready for Pendleside Hospice's new family friendly event Paws in the Park on Sunday, October 9th.

Around 200 dogs and their accompanying humans are expected to take part in the 2.5 mile circular route which will start and finish in Barrowford Park to raise vital funds for Pendleside Hospice.

The event, in conjunction with Pendle Dogs in Need, is open to everyone but participating dogs must be registered - it’s £5 to register - and accompanied by a human over the age of 18 years.

On the day you can check in from 10am and the marshalled walk will begin at 11am. All registered doggies will receive a doggy bandana, goody bag and certificate.

The registration fee will cover the cost of putting on the event so the hospice is hoping for sponsorship.

Sammi Bracewell, Fundraiser for Pendleside Hospice, said: “A huge thank you to the event sponsor Oakmount Veterinary Centre and also everyone at Pendle Dogs In Need for their support.”

Register online at www.pendleside.org.uk or call the fundraising team on 440120.
