Bargain superstore set to open in Burnley

A FORMER DIY superstore is set to reopen as a discount home centre tomorrow.

The Focus DIY store in Caldervale Road was bought by B & M Bargains after Focus went into administration in May.

Now the Merseyside-based retailer is set to re-open the 27,000 sq. ft building as a superstore selling low-cost home and garden goods, food and electrical products.

The move has safeguarded 15 jobs from the original store and created a further 30 full and part time positions for Burnley workers.

Mike Wealleans, the store manager of B & M Bargains Burnley, said: “It is good news for the town. We have safeguarded local jobs and created others. We hope to have a good relationship with our customers in Burnley.”
