Several residents in Clitheroe woke to a power cut this morning which lasted four hours.
An underground cable fault caused the electricity to go off at around 5-30am in the Edisford Road area.
Around 16 properties were affected and an engineer from Electricity North West was sent out to examine the sub station.
It was discovered a fuse had blown the electric and the fault was repaired and the electricity restored by 9-30am.
Residents had feared the power would be off all day if there had been a major problem.
