The 15 apprentices from Calico Homes, Ring Stones, and Calico Enterprise ranged from apprentice decorators, joiners, plumbers, electricians, caretakers, cleaners and office based staff from the investment, neighbourhoods and finance teams.

The two bedroom property underwent a makeover which saw the apprentices refitting and securing the bathroom, repairing floorboards, rehanging doors, and electrical safety checks as part of National Apprenticeship Week. The decorating apprentices were tasked with completing all five rooms in the house, and the stairs, landing and bedroom were carpeted by Ring Stones.

Phil Jones, Group head of Skills, Employability and Enterprise, said: “It was really great to see so many apprentices throughout the business working together to complete this project.

“They completed on time for the handover to the new tenant, and should be very proud of what they have achieved.

“This group of apprentices are all under 21 years old and are young adults starting out on their chosen career paths.

“The project was a brilliant way to highlight the skills and knowledge they have gained while undertaking their apprenticeships and everyone across the Group has been very impressed.”
