It was hair today and gone tomorrow for Ann Huyton as she had her long locks cut off in memory of her late husband Tony.
Ann (68),is a volunteer at T.E.A.M R.I.S.E Project in Burnley, a project which supports people with learning disabilities, and she decided to have her 16 inch long hair cut to raise funds for them and for Pendleside Hospice.
Ann is then donating the hair to the Little Princess Trust, a charity who make wigs for children with hairloss.
Ann decided to do it in memory of her husband, who died of cancer.
Lauren Lambourne, Project Worker at T.E.A.M R.I.S.E, said: “We would like to say a massive thanks to Ann for fundraising for us and also a massive thank you to hairdressers Robert Brannon who assisted us in our fundraiser.”
