Alan is the new pastor at Martin Top
More than 200 people crammed into Salem Chapel, Martin Top, near Rimington to celebrate the church’s 199th anniversary.
Alan Marsden, the new pastor, was officially inducted.
The service was led by Chris Okpoti, pastor at Knowle Green Congregational Church and the preacher was Dr Alec Passmore from Great Eccleston.
The chapel normally holds 150; extra seating was put out, but still over 30 people sat outside or in other rooms.
