Addict stolen tips from Burnley coffee shop
A drug addict who stole staff tips from a Burnley coffee shop has escaped jail.
Darren Anthony Smith (36) who also helped himself to meat from Marks and Spencer in the town, committed that offence while subject to a suspended jail term. Smith, of Accrington Road, admitted theft of tips to the value of £7.40 from Rhode Island Coffee Shop on January 25th and theft of the meat on February 26th. He was given a £44.72 compensation order.
