Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service was sent out to three seperate incidents involving a parrot, a dog and a seagull.
The first incident of the day involved a crew from the Hyndburn Fire Station who were sent to Edgar Street in Accrington just after 12.30pm to reports that a parrot was trapped at a house in the street.
When the crew arrive they discovered the parrot was stuck underneath a kitchen unit and the firefighters had to use small tools to release the bird. It took them only 10 minutes to free the animal.
On arrival the crew from Penwortham fire station found a dog was jammed into the railings around Ashton Primary School. Firefighters had to release the dog using Holatro spreaders so the crew could bend the railings. A spokesman for LFRS said the rescue operation took approximately 12 minutes.
And if two animal rescues wasn't enough for the service, a third report came in from Fleetwood just before 4pm about a seagull being trapped in a wire on the roof of a property on Manor Road in the town.
A crew from Fleetwood Fire Station was sent out to the address along with an aerial ladder platform from Blackpool's station and after a rescue mission lasting 40 minutes the bird was freed and passed into the care of the RSPCA.
