Plans to build 86 new homes on the former Waterside Mill site have been lodged with Burnley Council.

Developers Mcdermott Homes want to build the new estate on land off Sycamore Avenue, in Rosegrove.

Under the proposal exisiting security fencing on Sycamore Avenue would be removed and a new pond formed as part of extensive landscaping.

A mixture of 44 three-bedroom and 42 four-bedroom properties are earmarked for the estate which will occupy a 7.88 acre area running between Langham Street, Havelock Street and Sycamore Avenue. A detailed flood assessment has been carried out and has not identified any issues as the site has no history of flooding.
