Pendle Leisure Trust’s Out and About Project (formerly Lets Walk) is giving people the chance to walk the Pendle Three Peaks in a day.
On a walk to rival the Yorkshire Dales’ famous Three Peaks Challenge, walkers will climb Boulsworth, Weets and Pendle Hill. The walk is 28 miles and includes 1,300m of ascent.
Those who fancy the challenge will have the chance to explore historic villages, the Leeds and Liverpool Canal and the area of outstanding natural beauty around Pendle Hill
The walk will take place on Saturday, July 23rd, at 8 a.m. Starting from Pendle Leisure Centre, Crown Way, Colne, it is expected to take about 12 hours so participants will need lunch and tea.
In the event that someone is unable to complete the walk there are plenty points en route to drop out and catch public transport or a taxi.
There are only 12 places available and they must be booked in advance, the cost of the walk is £20 per person.
