Toy Review: Stocking Fillers

Filling up stockings with fun, but cheaper items is a great way of solving the problem. Jumbo Games is part of The Royal Jumbo Group, one of the oldest toy companies in Europe.

So the folk there know what they are doing. And musts for this year include i Pieces, starting at £9.99.

This brilliant app range brings to life old favourites such as air hockey, pool, snakes and ladders and Ludo and can be downloaded onto i pads and tablets. There are also ones featuring Peppa Pig and Fireman Sam, pure heaven for a would be computer fan called Ruaridh (6), who if he got his way would play all day and excellent for long journeys.

There’s appCards (from £9.99) too for all the family, allowing you to play traditional cards on smart phones or tablets.

For the smaller folk in the house, Jumbo has a range of puzzles which Flora (4) just loved. She is a big Peppa Pig fan, so especially enjoyed the secret box puzzle which is ideal for getting the brain going!

The puzzles also feature other childern’s favourites including Disney Princess, Noisy Friends and Fireman Sam.

Other goodies on offer this Christmas include SoccerSuckers™ , £1.99, which are rubberised football players from your favourite teams which stick just about anywhere!

Grown-ups are catered for too with Wasgij, £11.99, an adult puzzle where you have to use your imagination and follow helpful clues. A perfect way to pass those long Christmas holidays!
