SABDEN rock ‘n rolled in the sunshine when 10 local bands and soloists played to the Bank Holiday Monday crowds and raised more than £2,100 for the North West Air Ambulance.

Sabden Live 2, the second outdoor music festival in the village, drew hundreds of villagers, visitors and music fans to Sabden for an entertaining afternoon and early evening of live music from several bands and soloists including Sabden’s own musicians Marco Galea, Samantha Oxborough, Paul Leather as Neal E. Diamond, Zimmer and Zanthe, Shakeys Brother, The Kicks and with a finale from the Teenaged Kycks.

It was organised by Kevan and Lisa Lingard - experienced entertainer Kevan is a member of Herman’s Hermits and had just returned from a tour of New Zealand.

The festival was on the car park behind the Pendle Witch pub in Sabden and revellers spilled over onto the adjoining park where they enjoyed picnics while listening to the music.
