Norman Roberts was fishing the next peg to me on Lowerhouse Lodge last Tuesday. He was trying for some nice roach on fine gear- 2lb. 8oz. line and a small 18s hook baited with Castor’s.

He managed a few nice roach and the odd skimmer, when he hooked into something bigger and after landing this fish we weighed it and it pulled the scale’s to 17-4-0 – a lovely mirror carp this made his day.
