The Cornfield Farm Open was won by J. Livesey (46-9-0) from C. Durkin (27-7-0) and P. Smith (26-8-0).

Condolences go out to the family of Brian Pound who recently passed away. Brian will be sadly missed by all his friends, especially the ones he fished with on the local Burnley waters, also further afield where he was very popular with all that knew him.

The long-awaited change in the weather will be welcomed by all, so now is the time to start plotting where to fish on the local canal.

As the weather warms the fish will feed, pick a spot and feed it for a couple of days then give it a try- you will be surprised what turns up.

The next Todmorden Angling Society trophy match is on Town House Fishery on Sunday, May 19th, ring Paul on 01706 639373 or Rob on 07775 625088 to book on.

These matches will be a lot more popular after the introduction of the Bream and Carp. Alches are members only.

Tonight’s Junior match is on Croft, draw up to 5-45 p.m., fish 6-15-8-15 p.m.

Membership for 2013 is still open from tackle shops in Burnley, Padiham, Shaw, Littleborough, Rochdale and Halifax - also from Pet Shop, Halifax Road, Todmorden.
