A memorial service to the Hapton Valley Pit Disaster will be held on Sunday.
The service at the memorial stone just inside the entrance gates at Burnley Cemetery in Rossendale Road starts at noon.
It will mark the 53rd anniversary of the disaster. All are welcome to
attend the service which will last around 20 minutes before a gathering at Rosegrove Unity Working Mens’ Club.
On Wednesday, March 25th a film, The Miner’s Hymn will be shown at St
Mark’s Church, Rossendale Road, Burnley. Tickets are free but places
