Nelson Camera Club annual exhibition - PHOTO SPECIAL

SPECTACULAR and magnificent photographs by members of Nelson Camera Club will be on show in the town’s library for almost the whole of next month.

The annual exhibition runs from Wednesday, March 2nd, to Friday, March 25th, and it has an official opening on Tuesday, March 8th.

That will be the first of three evenings when illustrated lectures by club members take place.

The opening ceremony will feature Mayor of Pendle Coun. Tony Beckett and that takes place at Nelson Library in Memorial Square from 7-30 p.m. It will also include lectures on “Scenic Waterways, The Dales and Lakeland” by Edmund and Iris Hirst.

On Wednesday, March 16th, also at 7-30 p.m., there is “Tales of the Languedoc, France” by Tony Morris, and “A City Break - Istanbul” by Terry and Anne-Marie Imson.

And on Thursday, March 24th - at the same time - there is “The Art of Bonsai” by Roger Johnstone, and “Places Close to my Heart” - featuring Bridlington and the Lake District - presented by Edward Charles.

Admission is just £2 each evening.
