Medium Mary White to appear at Colne Muni

IT’S going to be a White Christmas at Colne Muni.

Local medium Mary White will be at the veune on Thursday, December 2nd, to re-unite loved ones over the festive period as she relays messages from friends and family in the spirit world.

There will be a Christmas tree at the theatre entrance for guests to peg a photograph of the loved one they want to contact. Mary will choose photos from the tree and with the help of her trusty guides, make a spiritual link with them to hopefully relay a festive message.

She said: “People miss different people at different times but I thought it would be nice to do this over Christmas because it’s a time for family. Everyone likes to spend time with family and friends at this time of year. Hopefully the audience can experience evidence that there is life after death and a spirit will come and communicate to prove that. The message will be uplifting and emotional because there will be that re-uniting.”

Mary’s abilities have been passed down to her through generations and she is a gifted medium, clairvoyant, psychic and tarot reader. She discovered her ability to communicate with the spirit world as a child but as she grew older she realised her mediumship had to be used in a disciplined manner.

Mary, who is the resident medium on radio station 2BR, was the runner-up in Channel Five’s “Britain’s Psychic Challenge”. She was one of 12 competitors chosen from hundreds of entrants to appear in the TV show and take part in various tests of her psychic and mediumistic abilities.

“My grandmother was a psychic and she was well sought after in her time but that was many years ago when it was a bit taboo. When I was young I presumed everyone was tapped in to this energy but it was only when I grew and developed it I became aware that this wasn’t the case.

“From being a young child I had an awareness that there was this energy and there were people around. It was in my 20s when I took notice of it and realised how strong my psych was so I started developing it in a professional capacity.”

Mary has now been working full-time as a professional psychic medium for more than 20 years. She carries out private readings, conducts services at spiritualist churches throughout the North- West and performs public demonstrations in theatres.

“People come for comfort and to know that loved ones have made the transition, are happy in spirit and have met up with other family and friends; others to find out what is happening in their life, others are curious and some don’t believe.”

Tickets are £10 and the show starts at 7-30 p.m. The venue can be contacted on 01282 661234.
