An application has been submitted to transform the top two floors of the former Graffiti nightclub in Bethesda Street into flats. The scheme is the latest in a number of projects which are seeking to introduce more town centre living accommodation.

A design and access statement submitted to Burnley Council by planning agent Michael Crosby, on behalf of Mr L Gentile, states that: “The development will bring the building back into use at the upper floor levels, the external appearance will contribute to enhancing the streetscene.

“There has been substantial soundproofing already incorporated into the building between the adjacent restaurant and the upper floors.
