Town council chairman Coun. Dorothy Lord said: “It’s great to be able to showcase local talent while providing an afternoon of entertainment for all of the family.

“We just hope the weather stays fine and the people of Colne come down and have a great afternoon.”

The concert will also feature charity stalls, hot food and refreshments.

Alcohol at the event is strictly prohibited, and seating is not provided so anybody not wishing to sit on the grass should bring a chair.

The concert is being held on the Millennium Green in Waterside from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
