Mystery over closure of popular Burnley pub

Mystery surrounds the closure of a historic Burnley pub, which has been shut for several weeks.

The Tim Bobbin pub in Padiham Road has seen the gates of its rear car park locked and its doors shut in recent weeks.

A popular local watering hole, the pub underwent a significant and costly refurbishment in 2015, which returned it to its original layout.

The Burnley Express has contacted owners Samuel Smith's Brewery for comment, but has not received a reply.

The former coach house is named after the author of Lancashire dialect poetry John Collier who used the pseudonym of Tim Bobbin.
