Josh Hindle and David Smith were taking their third challenge of 12 for Pendleside Hospice by baking buns during a break in the Pajama Game show at the Pendle Hippodrome Theatre.

Singer Josh (25) was starring in the show but took time out backstage to pull on his apron and get baking with friend David (30).

Josh said: “It went well – we chose to do the bake off blindfolded. We were guided by family and friends as they read out the instructions.

“There was a lot of mess, floors covered in flour and butter, but they tasted good. MP Andrew Stephenson judged our buns along with the National Operatic and Dramatic Association representative for the North-West. “I won for taste and David for presentation!”

The pair had asked the public to dream up 12 different challenges for them to attempt throughout the year. They have already spent a spooky night in the Hippodrome and undertaken a flipper walk.

Next they will be dropped off in the middle of nowhere with no money or phones, and will have to find their way home carrying hospice collecting buckets.
