Whalley teachers create bags, face masks and headbands for NHS workers

Although our lives have changed in so many ways some things never change and that’s the sound of Oakhill teachers Miss Young and Mrs Baron’s sewing machines!

Over the last few weeks they have been doing their bit to help the NHS keep safe in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.

Miss Young has been busy making face masks, while Mrs Baron has been creating headbands and beautiful clothes bags for nurses to put their uniforms in after a shift.

Thanking them for their hard work, a spokesman for Oakhill School and Nursery in Whalley, said: "Well done to them both and a big thank you to the NHS for all their hard work!"
