Oakhill's secretary, Mrs Catherine Sutterby, was due to run the London Marathon, however, due to the event being cancelled, she took part in a fundraising 2.6 challenge instead. Her terrific efforts have so far raised £850 for Cancer Research UK.

She challenged herself and ran 2.6 miles every day for 26 days. And although she completed the challenge during lockdown, she was not alone! She was, in fact, supported by staff and pupils Mrs Smith, Mrs Morris, Mrs Langford, Mrs Sarah Chatburn and many others who ran, walked or cycled each day posting their achievements on the internet.
