Inspirational poem by Fence teacher brings morale boosting joy to staff and pupils

The verse was penned by Mrs Helen Hargreaves who is a year two teacher at Wheatley Lane Methodist Primary School.

The touching verse reminds pupils to look on the pandemic as a de-tour in life and for everyone to keep positive by sharing their hobbies, get on with their siblings and remember that by remaining at home they are keeping safe.

And there wasn't a dry eye in the house when reception class youngsters put together a special Easter video message for their family and friends.

Headteacher Mrs Tracy Hallows said: "I really do have an amazing team who go above and beyond the call of duty."
