A survey carried out by Totaljobs has revealed that 70 per cent of job seekers are now more likely to consider working in a different industry due to the pandemic.
At the start of lockdown in March, unemployment surged by 125.9 per cent, accounting for more than 1.6 million people looking for work. This has made competition for jobs fierce. So, to help job seekers, here’s a list of the industries which are most likely to be hiring.

6. Personal trainers

7. Public sector work
When lockdown began, public sector jobs rose by 107 per cent, making this one of the best sectors for finding a job, according to a quarterly job market report from job board CV-Library. 8. Warehouse workers/delivery drivers
Due to a boom in online shopping during lockdown, Amazon has created 15,000 new warehouse and delivery driver jobs across the UK. Meanwhile, Hermes has created 10,000 jobs. Photo: Shutterstock
