AN eco-friendly waterless car wash has left the Mayoral car sparkling as part of Pendle Council’s drive to help reduce climate change.

The green cleaning washed and waxed the car without a single drop of water. Paul Tillotson of Waterlessgreen said: “We are delighted that the Mayor of Pendle gave us the opportunity to demonstrate our eco-friendly waterless car wash and that he was so happy with the results”.

Pendle Council’s Climate Change Action Plan is committed to finding new ways to reduce carbon emmissions, perhaps introducing environmentally-friendly measures like this to the council’s car hire policy.

“Hopefully this is just the start of measures we can take to help reduce our carbon footprint,” the Mayor, Coun. Tony Beckett, said. “I think a waterless car wash is a great concept and could see the end of so much water being wasted”.
