Calendar will raise cash in memory of tragic soldier Jordan Bancroft

FRIENDS and family of a soldier killed in Afghanistan have made a special calendar to raise money for the Duke of Lancaster’s Regiment.

“Bare All for the Dukes 2011” is a military style charity calendar that has been produced as a fun way of remembering Earby soldier L/Cpl Jordan Bancroft, who died in August.

The photos were taken at the Queen’s Lancashire Regiment museum at Fulwood Barracks, Preston, and all proceeds will be sent directly to the 1st Battalion of the regiment, in which L/Cpl Bancroft served.

The money raised will be used to help other soldiers and their families, should they be injured or find themselves in financial hardship, sickness or old age.

L/Cpl Bancroft’s brothers Paul and Leighton, three of his cousins and brains behind the calendar – Mandy Paul – L/Cpl Bancroft’s aunt, who is also is one of the posing models.

Mandy said: “It’s in memory of Jordan’s life and will make a great Christmas present and directly help our soldiers.”

The calendar is £7.50 and available from www.digigoprint.co.uk/dukescalendar or by calling Mandy on 07885 762722.
