Bowland Farmers’ Market and craft fair at Browsholme Hall

Keen gardeners will be making a beeline for Bowland Farmers’ Market and craft fair at the Tithe Barn at Browsholme Hall, on Sunday from 10 a.m – 4 p.m. Leading plant experts and suppliers will be exhibiting at the event and renowned local gardening guru Peter Foley will conduct a “Gardeners Question Time” in the Tithe Barn at 1-30 p.m.

Among the specialist exhibitors are award-winning nursery Holden Clough, Laneside Specialist Hardy Orchid Nursery from Garstang, Mary Green Walled Garden nursery from Hornby selling hostas and woodland plants, Lathom Garden products Waddow Lodge plants, tumbling tomatoes and florist Sara Collinge.

There will be mouth-watering meats from Dalesbred, Reedy’s Bowbearer jams and preserves Morecambe Bay shrimps, fruit and vegetables from Marie Macquire, Leagram Dairy’s organic cheeses, Farakhan’s Indian foods, William Bromilow butters, Chocolate Magic, Dove Syke cider, free range eggs from Richard Lomax, The Bread Fairy, Little Miss Muffin, ice creams from Slaters and Olivers, and Choco Lori.

Crafts will include bespoke silver and precious stone jewellery by Coco and Me, Derek Malcomb’s wooden gift range, Melt candles, Catherine Couline textiles and glassware jewellery and gifts from the Glass Dandelion.

Entry is £1 which includes entry to the Browsholme gardens and parkland and the coffee shop will be open for teas, coffees and refreshments. There will also be guided tours of historic Browsholme Hall from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on the day.
