Award-winning florist to transform country house into Christmas wonderland

PENDLE florist Janet Boast will have a busy Christmas ahead of her as the leading lady in a nationwide competition.

Janet, owner of Going Dutch in Manchester Road, Nelson and a Chelsea Flower Show gold medal winner, has been commissioned by Interflora to decorate a lucky winner’s house from top to bottom with Christmas designs, stunning garlands and door wreaths.

In August, Janet was approached to join a team of photographers and stylists as they set about a complete Christmas makeover of a country house in Lincolnshire.

The competition came about after Interflora saw Janet’s work and wanted to give the general public a chance to win something unique. She will spend two days transforming the winner’s home in Glossop in time for Christmas with designs worth £2,000.

There will also be a photographic exhibition of Janet’s designs at the Going Dutch shops in Nelson and Burnley where visitors have the chance to win a stunning Christmas design worth £50. Alternatively, visit Going Dutch online at www.goingdutch.co.uk
