Burnley FC goalkeeping legends to be celebrated at Clarets Collected exhibition
and on Freeview 262 or Freely 565
The exclusive heritage project has seen the Friends of Lancashire Archives join forces with Burnley Football Club in the Community, the National Football Museum, experts, fans and a host of partners in order to produce a fascinating look back into the club's illustrious past.
Jimmy Strong's role in that past can't be overstated. Burnley's first post-war keeper, he was part of the "Iron Curtain" defence that won promotion and reached the FA Cup final in 1947, as well as making a record number of consecutive appearances for the Clarets.
